How GharSetu treats your information
GharSetu helps people handle difficult family conversations. This policy covers the marketing website and the GharSetu mobile app. It is written in plain language so you can see what is collected, what stays private, and what we do not do.
Who this is for
GharSetu is intended for adults. Do not create an account for a child. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to hello@gharsetuapp.com.
What we do not collect for marketing
The public website does not ask for your email or mobile number. Website analytics, when enabled, records only controlled marketing events such as which page you viewed, which section became visible, and which store button you tapped. We do not send message text, names, phone numbers, email addresses, form values, Bridge content, or raw query strings to analytics.
What the app may process
Depending on how you use GharSetu, the app may process:
- Account details you choose to provide, such as a sign-in identifier
- Text you write or paste when you ask for help with a message
- The relationship label you choose, such as Partner, Maa, or Papa
- Guidance GharSetu shows you, if you save a relationship
- Things you teach GharSetu, and outcomes you tap after a conversation
- Private Bridge drafts and the summaries you approve
- Purchase or entitlement status from Apple or Google, if you subscribe
- Basic device and diagnostics information needed to run and secure the app
You can try GharSetu before creating an account. Saving a relationship, learning over time, and Bridge require you to continue in the app.
How we use this information
We use it to:
- Help you understand a message and find clearer wording
- Keep help specific to one relationship when you have saved that relationship
- Learn, with your participation, what tends to work in that relationship
- Create a Bridge shared view from approved summaries only
- Provide Free and Plus features you are entitled to
- Keep the service reliable and prevent abuse
We do not sell your family conversations. We do not turn your family into a public profile, a score, or a diagnosis.
Relationship memory
After you save a relationship, GharSetu may remember patterns you choose to keep for that relationship: how you tend to speak, recurring friction, what has worked, and outcomes you report. That memory belongs to your perspective. You can review it. Learning from one relationship is not automatically carried into another.
Bridge
In Bridge, each person explains their side privately. The other person does not see your raw private draft or vent. GharSetu uses only the summary you review and approve. Your unfinished private explanation is not shown to them.
Messages you send outside GharSetu
GharSetu suggests. You decide what to say. If you copy wording into another app, that other service’s rules apply. GharSetu does not read your other messaging apps.
Payments
Paid memberships are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive enough information to know whether a purchase or entitlement is active. We do not collect your full card number on this website.
Website analytics and advertising pixels
The website may use Google Analytics 4 and, where configured, Meta Pixel. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers on the marketing site. They are used to understand visits and store-button clicks, not to upload your family messages. You can block cookies in your browser. Local development does not send analytics by default.
Processors
We use service providers to host the website, run the app backend, send transactional mail if needed, and process store purchases. They may process information only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep information
We keep account and relationship information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need, except where we must keep a limited record — for example a store purchase receipt or a record that a deletion request was completed.

Your choices
- Do not save a relationship if you only wanted a one-time try
- Review or clear relationship memory in the app where that control exists
- Do not approve a Bridge summary you do not want shared
- Cancel a subscription in the App Store or Google Play
- Ask us to delete your account using the deletion page or by email
Requests
You may ask what personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@gharsetuapp.com from the address linked to your account when you have one. We may need to confirm it is you before we act.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No internet service is completely secure. Do not put information into GharSetu that you would not want stored on a device or a server at all.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
